California Haul

Hello friends! I went on a trip to California and stayed in L.A. for 5 days and San Diego for another 5 and had an amazing time. Here are some things I bought for myself there. :) You just can't get certain deals online. And I enjoy physical shopping a lot more than online.

I've been trying a slightly different eye make up style lately.

More makeup stuff

I spent the earlier half of the day with Shelley going around and buying beauty products, I left my house only planning to buy concealer, but ended up buying some other things.

I completely freaked out when I saw these at Don Quijote. They were only $6!!!!
Photobucket

I also got these hair products, the last 3 are for my wrecked hair. I totally do not regret bleaching the ends, but I wish there weren't so many split ends. I'm glad I finally have a reason to use these type of things, though.
Photobucket

I got myself another the Glamouflage concealer and a box of the lashes!!! I also needed another glue so I thought I'd give this one a try.
Photobucket

Shelley had SAT tutoring so I went home and decided to organize my room. A couple shelves got moved around and so I have this huge empty space on on side. I got an old wooden hanger and hammered some nails in.
Photobucket

Another thrift haul ft. some stuff from F21

Another collective hauls of the clothes I've bought in the past month.

When I went to Forever 21, I first saw this duster-type cardigan and I wanted to get it soooo bad, but I saw the jeans and shorts I mentioned in the video above and decided to get those instead.
Photobucket
A solo day running errands. On the way home I got kimchee stew from Palama, oh my god, I haven't had real korean kimchee stew in so long, I died. It was wayyy too good.

Make up haul

Here are just some things I picked up in the last month. Sorry I haven't posted in a while, school has just been so busy especially with homecoming, but it's ended and I'm currently on fall break!

Anyway, here are the things I got. Photobucket
First is this apricot lip tiny from The Face Shop. And I don't usually buy things from there because to me, they're all about the hype over Korean products, but there was a promotion so I decided to try their things out. I also have always wanted to try the Benefit tints, and this seemed like a good dupe for it.
 Photobucket

I also got this face powder from there as well, since the heat here has been wrecking havoc on my make up especially since I don't use a powder and it came with a powder puff which sets powder on to your face better than a brush. Photobucket

On the left is Rimmel's Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate Moss in number 11. I've been wanting to get a really dark red lipstick and this one is alright. It's not as dark on the lips, though. The one on the right is MAC's Amplified Lipstick in Vegas Volt and it is soooo flattering, I love it. Although, the picture doesn't give its bright orange-pink color justice. (Unlike the first picture)

Hopefully, in the next post I'll have outfit pictures up. C:

Goodwill Goes Glam

I didn't bring my camera to the event, but that's what it was called. And let me tell you IT WAS SO GREAT! There were a LOT more things there and I just didn't know where to start. And as soon as I got there I was just grabbing things. The prices were regular Goodwill prices, shirts were around $5, pants $7, etc.

I WAS DEAD WHEN I SAW THIS JACKET! The previous denim jacket I have had a feminine fit and I just didn't like it so when I saw this one and especially the acid wash I was in love. Also, I love the little details on it. The zig zag on the buttoning area and it has pockets near the bottom just perfect.
Photobucket
I'm considering selling my pink sweater and previous denim jacket on my FaceBook so I got this pink cardigan and I really enjoy the femininity of it but I have too many cardigans as it is.
Photobucket
Every year-and I believe for most public high schools in Hawaii-we have this event called a Senior Luau and if most of you guys are familiar with luaus it's only for seniors and we ride a trolley around Waikiki before going to dinner somewhere that has a tropical atmosphere. For that I got this slip dress and I figured I would wear it with my platform sandals and a floral headband or something.
Photobucket
And then I took a bunch of pictures of myself when I got home. I'm an outfit repeater, I'm sorry.

It hits me

Now I'm in my senior year of high school and I wish it was more easy going.

These set of pictures are from a couple of weeks ago after I went to Pearlridge with Jessica, John, and Vivian. If you remember the white JC Lita-type shoes I got before, I ended up exchanging them for these faux suede studded ones. I had such a hard time choosing from these or taupe, but black is more my style. :P

Just look at them ugh. And only $50. ♥
Photobucket

As well as these~ TokiDoki is shutting down their make up line and so they were 40% off at Sephora. so I got myself black and blue liquid eyeliner and a tinted lipbalm.
Photobucket

And this was my outfit on the first day. I like my classes and the people I sit next to I was super stoked to make new friends.

Amy helped me take these and it was so incredibly windy that day.

The bag is vintage Coach! When I went thrift shopping with Rachel at Savers I saw it there for $20 which is a lot considering it's secondhand, but still worth it! My Vans tshirt was also from Savers and I really loved the graphics on it. Reminds me of old rock band tees.

All in your head

I hung out with Rachel today and I hadn't seen her since my birthday which was super great. Conversations with her used to be really awkward for me since I hardly spoke to her since middle school. But it was much more comfortable with just the two of us. I really do enjoy talking to people in person over online.

We went thrifting at GoodWill, but I was just really excited to try the vegan place near by. I see it everyday on my way to school and their names for the items for weird like Kind Katsu, Enlightened Eggplant Tofu, and Virtuous Veggie Fajita. So as you can tell they have an array of food, Asian, Mexican, American, etc. But I was most curious about their mock meats and vegan cheese.
Photobucket
Rachel got the Kind Katsu while I had the Spinach Quesadilla. OH MY GOD. SO GREAT. The katsu totally looked like meat and had a nice almost mapley flavor which was unexpected to me. The Spinach Quesadilla though, was absolutely amazing. The vegan cheese had a much stronger flavor than regular dairy cheese and completely blew me away. A shame that it's so small though. I rememebered to take the picture midway through my first bite ahahaa
Photobucket
We went around the mall after and I got this red crush velvet dress from GoodWill and I'm thinking about turning it into leggings like these.
Photobucket

I love Brandy Melville. Rachel mentioned how this shirt reminded her of Pan's Labyrinth. I really liked that movie. And crop tops.
Photobucket
I got this YSL lookalike from Remix and they have a ton of "hype" type clothing and jewelery that you would see on Tumblr and/or celebrities like Nicole Richie wearing.
Photobucket
These Sunglasses were from Aldo for only $4!! At first the tag said 50% off and the tag was around $8 when the original price was $12 so I thought $8 was already a deal but man, I love surprise deals like that as you're paying. c,:

Still alive

Since it's summer and I work now I am buying too much stuff. Haha I can't even help myself. It's just that the mall is so close and there's nothing else to do on my days off. It feels great though and I don't regret it. Since my last post I went to the state fair and had deep fried oreos which were great and I was just scared to death and screamed my face off on the rides we went on.

First things first, I went to the beach for Kelsey's sister's birthday and although it was fun hanging out with Kelsey, her family, Chris, and Deanna, I realized how much I can't stand the cold anymore (such as being in the water) and I get an intense heat rash just laying on the sand.
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
I went Karaoke with my coworkers and I was worse than I remembered oh god. Just yesterday though, I went to the mall by myself then hung out with John and Shelley.
I used to go to Barnes & Nobles all the time just to read magazines and I really haven't had the time for it in a while but it was so great to finally relax outside by myself and go at my own pace.
Photobucket
For dinner we went to Marukame.
Photobucket
And here's another picture of my outfit from yesterday.
Photobucket
I got these when I was shopping with Chelsie.
Photobucket
Photobucket
As well as these lipsticks. I really went out of my comfort zone with the purple though. But it was such a great shade and since I'm going to be a senior next year I figure why not, it's not like I'm acting out.
Photobucket
And while I was with John and Shelley, I had to go find a dress for my senior portrait and finally got this dress.
Photobucket
And got these accessories from Brandy Melville.
Photobucket
When I saw these shoes at one of the stores I immediately flipped out and ran in! They're not real Jeffrey Campbells of course, but they're the best mimics I've seen.
